Many have been mentioned in the 06-07 forum. Look there, but I am sure you will get plenty of responses here too.

I'll throw out a few names right away that should be major contributors this season. This is by NO means a comprehensive list. It's just a starting point for discussions. There are many other great players. I'm not sure these are the 10 best, but I sure like them.

    1) Josh Thrailkill, TC Roberson

The real deal. This kid is 6'4" and has a pitchers body. He's already topping 90 and should be a top-50 in the nation next year.

    2) Robby Bray, Independence

Looks like he's made out of whale-bone. Strong as an ox. Has a terrific hammer curve ball. He was mid-80's as a sophomore and his velocity should continue to climb.

    3) Addison Johnson, North Forsyth

One of the best all around athletes you will find in the state. He's not big, but has tremendous power. Once he fills out, he'll get a pro following.

    4) Ryan Morris, South Mecklenburg

Lefty with really good stuff. Can hit 88 already with good movement on his pitches. Not going to be a secret for very long.

    5) Ryan Graepel, JH Rose

Shortstop with all the moves and a good hitter. Will be the spark plug at Rose that makes the machine run this year. As critical to there success this season as Garrett Bullock.

    6) Drew Poulk, West Cartaret

Has all of the tools. Will lead this Eastern Carolinas Conference team with his bat and glove this year. Should be an early D1 pick next season. Has a brother playing at UNC-W. He can pitch too.

    7) Wade Moore, West Rowan

Moore, spelled "P-O-W-E-R" can bang with the best players in the state. Lefty bat with great power. He'll be a force in the NPC this season.

    8) Parker Bangs, Scotland

Catcher with great power. He can go to the mound too, but his future is behind the plate and with a bat in his hand. Really good looking Junior.

    9) Jared Bard, Charlotte Christian

Daniel's little brother. Doesn't have Daniel Bards power or arm "yet", but has everything else. He's very close to be a #1 pitcher at any 4A school in the state right now.

    10) Alex White, DH Conley

This 6'3" pitcher/infielder shows lots of promise. Look for him to be a key weapon for Conley this season.

    Juniors

    Tyler Smith West Stanly,
    Kurt Benton West Stanly
    Tyler Almond West Stanly
    Adam Poplin North Stanly
    Andrew Love North Stanly
    Justin Cole North Stanly
These are some kids that will have an impact on their conference, I am not a scout by any means this is just my opinion. Smith, Poplin, and Love are the best of this bunch. College potential for all three, what division, not my call
