I know its January and a really weird time to ask this, but I hadnt really thought about it til now. I used to play (well ride the bench mostly lol) for Charlotte post 262, and I was just wondering how they did this past summer. I played the summer after my junior year at east meck which I guess was 2002. We had a loaded squad. I miss playing for coach Clewis, that guy is the man. Well I miss playing baseball period. After my sophomore year I found the strike zone about as easily as Bush finds WMD's (weird thing is I used to be a "control pitcher"). Anyways thats off topic, I was just wondering how that team did and where most of those guys went on to play ball at. Thanks guys

I'm not sure ... I think they went 7-14. If I have the right team, Caldwell County eliminated them in the playoffs in a 3 game sweep.

East Meck came into the conference playoffs as the #4 seed with only 3 spots open in the states last year. They had to win the tournament in order to advance into the state tourney.

They blanked Butler 4-0 in the first round matchup and followed that with a victory over #1 South Meck, 4-3. The lost the championship game to Providence by the score of 4-3.

Their regular season record was 8-6, 14-9 and overall record for the year was 16-10.

Ben Buchanan and Taylor Bryant were the leaders of the team that I knew. Ben is up at UNC-Asheville now and Taylor is getting ready for his senior season.
