UVA, UNC Softball CWS

....WOW! what a cluster by UVA not pulling off the win last night. It sucks when you're up by 1 and 2 outs, 2 strikes, in the 9th, and then give up a tying run.
Then in the bottom of the 9th, bases loaded for UVA, 1 out, and a heymaker shot to the SS, who mishandles the heat, makes a great play to keep the ball in front of him, and then pulls off a double play to end the inning!

As for UNC, well, DAMN! ....they must feel like Phil Mickelson right now. You know, the best never to win a major.
UNC baseball has represented us in the ACC with all the bells and pops.
Those last 4 teams have rocked and come up just a little short.

Class bunch of ballplayers for sure.
Look forward to watching the heels back in Omaha next year

and I'd like to one day see the Pack in the CWS. what would be wrong with that?????

....ding, ding, ding!!!!! Damn East my brother, I wondered how long someone would pick up on the "softball instead of baseball gig".
Nice, although I'd like to have seen it go a little longer.
NCSU baseball is not far off from the top 20.
Just look at the # of ACC teams in the top 30.
Duke, for the 1st time in, what, 15 years or so, got into the ACC tourn.
Clemson was one of if not the best team I saw play this year.
GT? yep!,...another badass ACC team.

In the end do all of these teams beat up on one another? yes, but thats what makes them the best down the stretch. Fish

Fish, I see you as an eternal optimist, and that's good...............however on this I have to respectfully disagree with your "NCSU baseball is not far off from the top 20".
A LOSING RECORD FIRST TIME IN OVER 40 years, & WE DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE ACC TOURN. THIS YEAR!!, that's far from top 20 or regionals, etc. We were in the bottom half or third of all major statistical categories in the ACC.
Maybe it was a down year, I really hope so.............it just seems we did not build on the '08 success.
Help me find the silver lining.

I think it would be OK for the Pack to be in that top 6 of the ACC. Yes, that would be acceptable. & agree, no excuses.
