UMPIRE IMPROVEMENT CAMP

We are putting the final touches on the Umpire Improvement Camp, we will be holding at UNC-Charlotte. This camp will be geared to the officials that are working the "Two-Man" system in school ball and travel ball competition. We are also holding a "Mid-level" camp at USC-Upstate in September for those umpires that have been working H/S ball and upper levels of travel ball for a few years and would like to have an opportunity to improve their skills and also be evaluated to see if they can be moved up to umpire at the college ranks. And lastly, we will be holding an advanced camp, either at NCSU or UNC-Chapel Hill sometime in Oct. or Nov. for those officials working the lower level collegiate competition. This camp will focus solely on the "Three-Man" system as well as enhanced plate mechanics. Each of these camps are being held, not only to recruit possible umpires to work at the collegiate level, but to also improve the skills of the officials that only want to work travel and school ball.
