State Game tryouts

    Region 6 tryouts are sceduled for this weekend. Due to this weeks weather some games may be played on Saturday. Is it up to the High School coach to communicate with appropriate parties. Will there be an alternate date established?

    Because of this scenario, it has been recommended by Chuck Hobgood at the North Carolina Amateur Sports that when coaches schedule tryouts that we have at least i of hte tryouts scheduled for a Sunday. We did that in Region 3 and when I coached the East-West series.

    Couln't agreee more, Sundays are the only days where you can't have a regular game in high school, although state championships have been played on Sundays. All kids should be able to show up if they really want to try out. No sense not to have them on Sundays,
