This guide was created by a friend of mine whose daughter plays at Hofstra University. He's a "Philadelphia Lawyer" (for real) and serves as the recruiting coordinator for the travel ball his DD played for. It's detailed and pretty darn accurate:

DD4- I came across the site on the UCS (Ultimate College Softball) site and was about to post it here. This is a very informative site with excellent info and I just spent over an hour reading the info.

Another good thing about the site seems that it will be somewhat interactive with frequent updates and Q&A. Hopefully it won't turn into something with a ton of advertising.

Maybe Cheeze will make this thread a sticky. It will help answer a lot of questions for a lot of people.

    Required Reading

I haven't finished reading it all, yet, but from what I've read so far this should be required reading for coaches and parents hs freshmen and up.

I am the creator of the recruiting website. I do intend to put advertising on it, but not in a way that it is intrusive to the material. There will be no ads on the information pages, only on the links page. But the ads I intend to put on there will be geared toward softball players and their needs. For example, I hope to place ads for SAT prep courses because scores on those kinds of tests are so important. But you will not see banner ads like you might on say google or something like that. And thanks for your comments.
