    WLOS TV reported tonight that the Shrine Bowl Selections would come out later this week...anybody wanna make projections on who will make the team?

    I hope McDowell's running back Davon Gardner makes the team. 1,377 yards and 14 TD's on the season. Ranks 6th in rushing in the state (stats courtesy of NCpreps.com). East Henderson's Michael Angram is the only rusher in WNC ahead of Gardner (1,475 yards). Plus the fact that Davon is multi-dimensional (defensive back, kick returner with 4.4 speed) he could make the team if there are an excess of running backs this year.

    As of 5 PM on Monday, The S.C.H.S.A.A. had not approved all of their players, but N.C. has, and coaches are being notified today. Public release will depend now on when all involved are notified.
