went by & watched my first college softball game.
It was at walnut creek; NCSU vs. Kent State. The Pack won both games in a DH sweep.

The Pack really has a hustling team that is fun to watch with their style of play. It's obvious they have been well-drilled. Impressive.

BTW, must be a new fad. Both teams between innings all players (including all subs who went to edge of outfield & threw among themselves) came out of dugout & participated in the warm-ups.
Softball girls always seem to think of the unusual. At least it gets them all involved instead of getting bored in the dugout. I thought that was a good practice.

Coach at NCSU seems to have really gotten that program off to a great start in the short 2-3 years since it started. They play a really aggressive, hustling style that's fun to watch.
Now they just need a ballpark to play at; I've seen some sketches on their website. Do they have a construction schedule? I have actually wondered why they don't use the diamond there next to campus at Pullen Park, I think it was called Red Diamond. Walnut Creek is good, but I know it must be inconvenient with the remoteness from campus.

Was very impressed! You can tell Coach Navas runs a tight ship, everyone hustling all the time. You can tell by watching the girls, she is a very good hitting coach.Every batter kept their hands in, & had great form in their swing.State is on top of DD's list, but wants to play when not pitching, could be a problem.Looking at lower D1 so she can play more.Likes UNCW,Coastal Carolina,Elon,GW.Haven't really decided on D2 schools yet,but need to before long.Feel like this is going to be a big summer, hitting most of big showcases.Any advice would be most appreciated!
