Coach backstabbing

Once again....

AbbeyFan you are the Great Wise One!! I must admit I had not heard of your impending death before today, but I will get busy on my outfit!!!! LOL You looked awfully good the last time I saw you, for you to have one foot in the grave! LOL
Guru I think you might want to try some bleach and Lysol at your place, you might have a plague moving in or something!!! LOL

You both are correct on one thing, The thing about do not be a part of spreading a rumor!! But AbbeyFan now we both know that people have a sincere problem with the truth, so going up and telling them that, might start a disagreement! LOL For I have tried the truth road and people seem not to admire it!! LOL
Rumors are poison to any person or team!! RUMORS are the backbone of a lot of pain and trouble!!!! A rumor within a team spreads faster than the plague, and leaves pain and suffering in it's wake!! If you have ever been the subject of a rumor, you know this 1st hand!
Having said that I will add that if you know that a particular coach, uses this approach to recruit members for their team, remember 1 rule: If that coach will do this to one player, they will do it to any other player at some point! There are coaches out there, that continuously look for that better player! When they feel they have found that better player, they push the orginal player to the bench, to ride until they are fed up and leave! Believe me if the coach would do this to one player, they will do it to any player!
Beware!! Sadly this old world is full of BACKSTABBING from coaches, from parents, from players, it is everywhere!! It is almost as though it is taught as one of the stratogies of getting what you want in this world! Handed down like a family tradition!

And that truth holds even more true on TBR where a rumor or gossip will spread faster across this state than dawgfan eating a box of chicken

We discussed this last year.. if someone makes an unsolicited call to a college coach and slanders a prospect they are opening themselves up for a judgment the value of which would be 4 years tuition plus room and board.

 

I can only add...

This does in fact happen because I have heard it done to an athlete with my own hears as it was being told to the perspective college coach!
Bad very very very BAD!

 

I am proud to call Abbey a friend and what a great guy. He has his heart in the right place and will do anything for someone's DD whether they play for him or not!

 

I guess the idea of Abbeyfan being deceased were greatly exaggerated.
