    hear coach Tate has 4 broken ribs after being tackled by a Cardinal Gibbons player on Tuesday. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

    There was an incident in the JF Webb - Cardinal Gibbons game earlier this week... it was reported on WRAL.com and there have been rumors in the area regarding what actually happened. I will say that I have known Coach Tate and Coach Liebler for many years and they run good clean programs... it was truly unfortunate.

    I spoke to someone with first hand knowledge and coach Tate was caught in the middle of an ugly incident between the catcher and a runner. He saw what was about to happen and was trying to prevent it. Sad news, possible assault charges could come about as the police were called to the scene.

    I have spoken too with someone that had first hand knowlege, it is unfortunate and I just hope that the events and "discussion" doesn't take over TBR.
