If an adult knowingly puts one of those bats on a youth softball field they should go to jail. If a child knowingly uses one, they should be banned from the sport forever.

    Agree with the parent part.

Not sure what I think about the kid. Sometimes I doubt the kid knows they are swinging something like that.

I used the word "knowingly" for that very reason. If they KNOW they are swinging an altered bat, they are just as responsible, but should not be punished the same as an adult. Kids arent stupid... they know what is going on 99% of the time.

    Read it too quick

I agree on both. I can say though it would never occur to my kids to ask if it were an illegal bat they were swinging. I think they would trust their dad wouldn't put one in their hands.

    No

You can search youtube and see they have figured out ways to modify the clarity bat line. Also you will see plenty of youth baseball and fastpitch bats that are getting rolled etc...

Looks like this may be the year to buy USED bats. Anybody need a old purple 32/22 Stealth or a silver/red 33/24 Rocketech?

    old alloy

"IF" comp bats are outlawed.... just dig around in the closet and find some of those old alloy bats and wipe off the dust. I have an old Worth that my 22 yr old used. bought it for $49 twelve yrs ago. OH MY..... It still works if need be.
