Need some help here, first one is a ball hit between first and second base on the ground. Just before right fielder gets to it, the ball hits the grass ridge and takes a crazy hop over the fielders head, she never touches it, couldn't touch it and it keeps going. Runner makes it to third base on the play. How do you score it? A single? A triple?

Next, pitcher gets a ball hit back up the middle over her head, she jumps and sorta snowcones it but it drops to the ground, she recovers it but not in time for the throw. Is this a error or a hit? What's the rule on a pitcher getting a ball back at her? Thanks

both show the subjective nature of scoring but I give the first girl a triple (bad hops usually do not give an E to the fielder involved) and a single on the second as it was a tough chance.

Agree with BSD on the 3B, and I don't think an error can be charged to a defender who attempts to make the "extra" effort in fielding a ball, ie: diving/jumping for a ball to make a play. So a hit

Agreed. A bad hop is credited to the batter's skill in finding the rock (or outfield edge), and a fielder who just-misses a ball on extraordinary effort doesn't get an error for coming close. 3B and 1B.
