CONGRATS TO CASEY ALLISON

West Henderson Grad Casey Allison has been named SAC Freshman of the Year.

He hit .341 with 6 Hr's, 34 RBI's, 55 Runs, 19 Doubles, and 3 Triples. A great start to Casey's college career at Wingate.

 

Casey had a great year no matter what grade, but the fact that he was so successful as a freshman makes his year even more incredible.

All college freshman hit a wall around their 30th game. They feel like their season should be winding down and they notice...oops...I'm only halfway through. Most of them catch their 2nd wind and pick up where they left off.

But Casey never battled that. He was amazing. I've seen him go 0-4 with 4 K's.....then slip into the batting cages; make his adjustments, then go 4-4 the next game. The young man is very professional in his job. He plays baseball the right way----hard-nosed! But here is what I like best about Casey. What a terrific, respectful young man! I'm proud to know him and just as proud to meet his dad, Norman. What a fantastic job he has done in raising Casey---two peas in the same pod! Coach Oz is very fortunate to land the Allison family to his program.

 

You are right about Casey being a good kid and Norman is one of my favorite people. A real good family. We are glad to have them as a part of our very large baseball family. I have seen Casey play for years and it is great to see him doing so good. He has been through alot and God has brought him through nicely.
