New updates for Battle of the Border Showcase and All Star Games

    We wanted to provide a few updates on the event. Baseball showcase and all star games have moved up one week to June 15-16, Softball dates (June 22-23) remain the same. This will allow us to provide greater focus to each sport.

    We have rec'd over 100 nominations for the all-star game, players will be selected in mid-May.

    Coaches will be announced April 1st

    The showcase portion of the event has taken on a life of its own and we are adding new colleges each week. We are very committed to making this the best event possible for the Charlotte Region.     Its not...

    The State Games are the week before as is the Dynamite.

    This Showcase is the Monday following it all. The games are the Tuesday following. They were very thoughtful in planning this to avoid both those tournaments / games.

    Tuesday, June 23rd - The Battle of the Border Softball All Star Game will be held between players from the Mecklenburg and York County areas.


    Kids that are in Union / Anson / Cabarrus can't participate ?

    Softball -- I can answer those for you

    State Games -- No conflict there with either softball or baseball. Softball State games are:
    Monday June 15th- Thursday June 18th



    For baseball we finish up the day before they begin.


    On the other counties ----- It's Charlotte area vs York SC area,,,,, we consider all three of those counties to be in the Charlotte area, so get the nominations flowing :)

    The actual showcase is open to all college prospects in any county or state.

    I see how you came up with that question, sort of confusing, but the first sentence on our website says

    The top baseball and softball players in Mecklenburg and York County and their surrounding counties will gather together for The Battle of the Border All Star Showcase and Games.
