    On behalf of the "big" Piedmont Storm girls.....Just wanted to give a shout out to the players and coaches of the newly formed Piedmont Storm 12U who won their first tournament in Statesville this past weekend. Great job guys and look forward to many more.

    Congrats To The Piedmont Storm !!

    Trully a team with some studs on it. We are young 12U,and we enjoyed playing the giants of the Piedmont Storm, it will only make us better !! I trully believe if you aren't challenged you want get better. Good luck to all teams this upcoming 2009 season !!

    Congratulations to Piedmont Storm on the first place finish this weekend. The entire organization was first class from the players, coaches and parents....Good luck girls

    Good job PIEDMONT STORM :] I heard from a birdie that some York girl made one heck of a play...runs in the family I must say!! Good job Payton. I enjoyed watching them while on Spring Break. Had to watch the cousin play my travelball coaches. Had a great time and loved seeing everyone. Sure do miss it out there and miss the Porkchop & Shane.

    Was that the line drive catch at first base that doubled up my kid? Yes that was an awesome catch, great reflexes, very strong team. I had to pitch around those giants, but a few didn't get by---LOL !!!

    It sure was!!! I hate I missed it but everyone called and me told me what happened. I was very proud! I was just excited they beat CV Storm haha..always a storm no matter what haha. They are young too I think.

    Actually, the catch made by Payton was in the championship game against CV Storm. The catch at first base was awesome too but Payton's catch was a line drive to 3rd base. She dove to catch it and then picked the runner off before she could get back to 1st. A proud moment indeed!
