Morgan Peeler (Fr) (Central Cabarrus HS) and Mendy McKinsey (Sr) (West Forsyth HS) shared the pitching for NC State. Morgan Peeler pitched for 2.1 innings allowing 3 runs. Mendy McKinsey came in relief and finished the game.

It was nice to see MP in the game against the #14 team in the USA.
She's a rocket pitcher who will succeed in college. I don't know if she had butterflies today, but I know me and Todd did.

I had butterflies also fishdad. I listened to the game and watch the play by play on the internet. I don't know about MP, but if that was my first start, I know I would. I thought she did a great job against UMASS. I was hoping they would let LW swing that killer bat of her's. Did U and Todd watch the game. I may buy the internet package so I can watch the rest. Two of my favorite players on that team.

The Pack will be fine. All of the girls can rip the ball. The pitchers are certainly capable of competing on the top 20 scale.

Of the 14 runs state gave up, only 4 were earned. Peelr had 3 earned runs and mckenzie had 1. State played much better later in the day and lost to Cal by only 1 run.

Hopefully the defense will come back around soon along with the hitting.
