Eric Dirkschneider threw two shut out innings of relief while Zach McKelvey threw one shut out inning to finish the game.

Corbin Cochran hit his 2nd Home Run of the day, this time a three run shot while also hitting a two run double early in the game. He had 9 RBI for the day!
Michael Atz threw 2.33 innings of shut out ball while giving up only one hit to close the game.

LJ Newman hit a Grand Slam in the first inning of this game to get things rolling for the Cougars early in this game.
Jake Fincher hit a towering shot over the left center field wall for a 3 run Home Run in the third inning.
Peter Hendel pitched 4 strong innings of shut out ball to earn the win in this game while hitting the ball extremely well all weekend!

Upstate Mavericks

Frozen Ropes sponsored the tourney, but it was put on by the Upstate Mavericks Baseball club from the Greenville, SC. area. You can check them out at www.upstatemavericks.org. I don't know much about the group, but I think my son's team is going to play in a couple of their Fall Tournaments this year. More to follow.
