Prayer for an Old Friend...

    Not sure how many of you remember Phil Pleasant, who used to coach the
    Carolina Lightning out of the Triangle area...

    He suffered a brain aneurysm today and the hospital is presently trying to get him stable enough to operate.

    Phil is one of the pioneer fastpitch coaches in NC, having developed and inspired many players out of the Garner area. His daughter Lauren ( LP)
    graduated from Peace last year, and is getting married later this summer.
    We retired her number at Peace in 2007.

    Phil is a true coach....one respected by his peers and an inspiration to his kids...

    All prayers and kind thoughts appreciated.......

    my brother played youth and HS baseball with Phil. I will tell him.

    Aw man, I hate to hear that. Phil's a good guy! I just mentioned him in a post the other day. Hope he's going to be alright!

    I learned alot from Phil in the early days when my dd started playing. His youngest dd and my youngest dd played together from the start thru high school. My oldest and L.P. Graduated from HS together. He is a great coach and a friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Penny, L.P. Kinsey and most of all Phil for successful surgery and full recovery.
