Maple Bats

When did this happen? I watched another week of MLB Extra Innings and saw another dozen or so bats explode into flying lethal weapons. Honestly, I have seen as many bats come completely apart in the first quarter of this MLB season as every other year combined and I'm 47 years old.
This problem has to be solved before someone is killed or maimed. Word is that the League is studying the problem and that the Union is on board. Maple bats can't be banned soon enough.

 

Alot of major leaguers use them because aparently (of course me not being involved in MLB) is that they have awesome pop. Now to me there isn't much difference in wood bats but I don't use them everyday either. So that's just MO. Wouldn't take my word for it, but yes they need to go. Having half of a 16 oz. of your own bat flying at you is scary, let alone being someone elses, expecially if the ball is headed your way also. Plus, add into factor the 30 more peices that fly off a maple bat, now you can't see the ball either, just a bunch of wood and this flash of white, then it's on top of you. Somebodys gonna get seriously hurt unless this problem is fixed, and VERY soon. And there isn't any such thing as too soon in this situation. Something needs to happen before someone looses a limb.

Bamboo Baby!!!

 

As said earlier, how are the Chinese going to fight their wars? With no bamboo they can't go Chuck Norris on us and shoot those little darts in the movies to put the bear or big bad guy to sleep.

Translation: bamboo bats=no Chinese defense plan, which also = no more good movies. Bad adea braves, sorry. Like the try though. lol jk

 

Chuck Norris doesn't need Bamboo, he has a roundhouse kick that will that has killed millions of people.

 

Next .....

I think in today high tech age we have a solution.

1. No Wood. Kill trees. Maybe a person.

2. No Metal. Cost to much. Maybe line drive the pitcher.

3. No Bamboo. Something else made in China. Chuck Norris will flip out.

4. No Plastic. Made from oil. To light balls do not leave the infield.

5. Maybe Granite. Will not splinter. Braves can't swing it.

6. Yes Computer generated bats. Will not break. Home run every time.

 

Braves may not be able to swing it. BUT if there is one thing Braves can do is tell a dang good fishing story...might have to go retrieve those threads. He will live and die of fishing stories.

BTW, his son thinks he is the man at hitting, but I think Braves taught him to make up stories...

 

Braves Jr can rake......and as far as Tyson's Lake is concerned. Too late, I've got my fishing chair and catfish rod parked in front of the lake
