Chapter 4



And off we went following Dbacks through the woods. Dbacks was telling us about this new fish that he discovered.

“As fast as you cast the line out, you’ll catch one. And they will fight you, too. Those suckers will feel like a 10 lb bass”

Man, I couldn’t wait because I was getting hungry. We finally got to the lake and I saw that Stretchy and Haskell were already there.

“Hey guys, me and Stretchy already caught 30 fish. Wow, these things are fighters” I always thought it was funny watching Haskell fish. He constructed his peg leg with some fishing “eyes” and to see him cast with it was rather amusing. He’d lift his leg as high as he could and could put his bait wherever he pointed it.

I looked over and saw that aguyyouknow and Coach27 were laying up on a rock and it appeared they were typing something on a laptop. I found out later they each have a separate screen name. One Putt and the other is OldAngelsCoach. I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw both of them posting something about illegal players and they both looked up at me smiling.

In the mean time PlateDad and I decided we’re going to catch breakfast. PlateDad was the 1st to catch one on my side of the lake.

“Braves, this is a big one…get out the net!” His line was buzzing all over the lake, but he seemed to finally get control. As he was reeling it in, my stomach was saying thank you, thank you, thank you. What with Haskell and Stretchy’s 30+ fish and the one that PD was bringing in, I was beginning to think that this was going to be a great day after all. But I kept remembering that Haskell and good day do not belong in the same sentence.

AGYK and Coach27 heard the excitement, posted one more, “Do you think the coach should be fired for allowing an illegal player?” chuckled at what they wrote and came over to check out the commotion.

PD was reeling his fish up to the bank and before I could get the net, I got a look at this monster…………and I got sick to my stomach

 

That fish is built a little like me.

I bet that som bitch ain't legal. Better call the game warden.

 

I am a great dancer Braves.

 

Then you can lead.

BTW, see you on the 15th and I'm bringing another kid whose Dad coaches FB at Wake.

 

Braves....let's sign Lefty up for the next "Dancin with the Stars".....he'll probably win the whole thing.

Let me set the record straight!!! Stretchy is an umpire and the only thing he catches is foul balls once in a while. Now the one with a reel "pole" is SoutherNo1. He can really catch some hot ones.

 

Hey, it's my story and I'm sticking to it...and Southern makes his appearance in Chapter 6.

 

Wait til you read and see the future chapter and I will let you decide then.

Oh, and Dbacks, I forgot to post your picture. I guess it is too late now. But that "eye" thing is something to see.

 

It depend on the music, salsa isn't my thing but some good club music! Me and lil Braves just get all the girls with our slick moves.

 

Obviously we are lacking in conisseurs of fine dancing..... I take it you have never seen me dance...
