Date and Time: Saturday, December 15th; 1PM-until, (App. 5PM)

Place: The Perfect Game Batting Facility, Pfafftown, NC (NW side of Winston-Salem)

Speakers: John Hendricks, Lenoir-Rhyne College and Chris Johnson, Guilford College. There will also be at least two more speakers that are trying to free up their schedules.

Purpose: This will be an in-depth discussion on the correct ways to condition, strength train, Long-Toss and throwing programs, band and other injury prevention, and college proven work outs for your young pitchers and/or staff.

There will also be a section dealing with proper "power" mechanics and we will discuss the fundamentals of the mental game of baseball.

This clinic will be beneficial for any young pitcher age 14+ who is interested in improving his current abilities through strength and conditioning. Common work out mistakes that lead to injury and loss of velocity will be discussed.

This clinic is not for anyone who does not have the desire or patience to sit through a three or four hour conversation about pitching and concepts dealing with pitcher training...

Parents are encouraged to sit through the clinic, as many of them will be the ones using the programs to coach their son. Also, pitching coaches who are looking for answers and proven pitcher's workout programs-This is for you!

    Cost:
The clinic will be 90$. Included in this cost will be a complete pitcher's manual and companion for each athlete to keep. All the info covered will be outlined in depth in the manual. Alone, this manual is a 50$ value.

We guarantee you will not leave disappointed. This is not your typical money maker Christmas camp. This is a group of college coaches who spent several years and their personal financial resources to develop tremendous pitcher's programs. These coaches are frustrated with inheriting hard working, young men who come to college with injuries resulting from incorrect training.

Please feel free to use this thread to answer any questions or concerns you may have concerning this clinic.

For personal questions, contact John Hendricks at: [email protected]

    Thank you

Now this is very helpful. Thanks for sharing. Better for my son to hear it from someone other than me. Another good benefit of TBR.

    one putt....

Yeah I think there will be a lot of things we discuss that are going to surprise kids who have been working hard but maybe doing some inappropriate lifts because they are uninformed.

    thanks

No matter the age or experience, this is a "must do" for all pitchers and parents that are seeking professional guidance about pitching. This may be one of the most important threads that we have ever posted.

I can not recall a seminar about pitching (outside of Tom House) in this state from professional pitchers. The few that come into our state are very beneficial, although a bit pricey. I understand this one is $90.00? That is an unbelievably low price...and they get a video, too? Wow....what a nice tool for reference.

I have had several HS coaches as well as parents ask me for a good workout routine, as well as other questions surrounding pitching. It appears coach that you have the answers to those questions. Thank you for providing this. I know you have spent a lot of time developing it.

We finally have solidified our line up for the clinic....

Along with Coach Hendricks and Coach Johnson-

Matt Briggs- Area Scout for the Toronto Blue Jays. He is in charge of the Carolinas and Georgia. He is formerly a pitcher at Wake Forest.

Chris Anderson- Pitching Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Belmont Abbey. Coach Anderson has more knowledge of pitching mechanics and Pitcher training methods than any coach around. His expertise comes from years of research and attending National seminars on the subject.

For years I have seen dozens of threads on TBR concerning excellent questions about what young pitchers and staffs should be doing at particular times of the year. In fact, there is a thread running right now concerning what pitchers should be doing this time of the year. This clinic is for you.

I have received several emails concerning the clinic asking questions.....

    1) I would like to have a general head count by December 10th. Of course we will take walk ups but the manuals we will be handing out as part of the package need to be printed out and there is money and numbers involved with that. By the way, I did not mean to insinuate there will be a video as part of the package. There will be an 80 pg. manual that outlines and gives instructions for every one attending.

    2) If you are 100% coming you may go ahead and let me know via email.

    3) You may make checks out to Gary Hendricks.

    you can mail them to:

No video's? Shoot, that leaves dbacks out. He can't read! Perhaps I can read it for him or maybe it has pics...he's okay with that.

Seriously, Coach, let me know if there is anything we can do on our end? I'm looking forward to this. This has been needed for a long time.

    Opportunity

First and foremost this is an amazing opportunity. Informationally this is going to be the best possible thing you can attend if you want to better yourself. There are going to be a lot of good speakers here.

There will be a wide array of knowledge on this subject. If you want to learn to strengthen your body functionally then this is the place for you. I'm interested to hear what will be said, so that I can improve my knowledge.

    Hendricks, I can't wait.
