Not too solid for the NW4A:frown:
lets turn that around next week!
shocked at the McDowell loss (strange as that is to say in the fall)
And I surely thought that AC and Watauga would have had closer outcomes
although i can say from being there the Watauga score is not what ist should have been. Very competitive game early, even into the 3rd. The loss of Oliver on the D-line was a major one. Got back to a "give it to EB up the middle" type game and shockingly Davie picked up on it.:stunned:

    Watauga v. Davie

Davie made some great adjustments on offense that seemed to confuse Watauga. Just for the record, on another “Board” it was stated that WHS is 2 more players away from being good. I understand the comment but it really irritates me. Watauga has some very talented players that aren’t utilized. They have one player that is open every pass play. They don’t even throw it to him when his play is called. Throw it to him! If he doesn’t catch it or do something with it, then I will shut up. If he does do something with it, then LB’s and SS’s will be forced to pay attention to him and stop filling the box which will open up lanes for EB. Whew….that felt good. Sorry, I’m not trying to make this a Watauga thread.

Indy- What number was he. Are you talking about #1? He did have that one great grab. I would like to see the WHS offense on the field longer in the second half.

I don't want to make this a Watauga dominated thread but your question proves my point. There is a lot of talent hidden on this team. No, it's not #1. LB's don't cover WR's. They'll get it worked out. It was just one game. Hopefully the next 3 won't provide us with some "fool's gold".

    East Burke v Maiden

Maiden is typically pretty tough. Did they have a new coach hangover or is East Burke playing pretty well? Does E. Burke still have that lefty at QB?

Maiden does not have a new coach. Tom Brown is still coaching but they do not have all conference running back Tommy Henry. Maiden is now running a spread offense and is throwing a heck of a lot more. EB still has the lefty quarterback and they played pretty well in the first half but stunk it up with numerous turn overs in the second. Basically, Maiden played bad in the first half and EB played bad in the second half and Maiden decided to go for two instead of tie. End of ballgame
