    o. 7 Duplin Co. (14-11, 4-4) at No. 2 Hope Mills (13-1, 7-1)
    No. 5 N. Brunswick (8-5, 4-4) at No. 4 Whiteville (8-10, 5-3)
    No. 6 Hampstead (4-4, 4-4) at No. 3 Morehead City (10-6, 5-3)
    Sunday
    No. 8 Jacksonville (9-13, 4-4) at No. 1 Wilmington (18-5, 7-1), 7 p.m.

    Wilmington 21-5 sweeps Jacksonsville 3-0. awaits Brunswick/Whiteville tied 2-2. Hope Mills 16-1 sweeps Duplin 3-0. Will play Morehead City 13-6 who defeated Hampstead 3-2.

    Pirate, how many teams in area II this year and how does Wilmington stack up in comparison to last years squad??

    I am not from that Area but gathered info etc. It may not be totally actuate. Im not sure on how many teams but four are left. Wilmington has somewhat jumped off the travel ball wagon as well as Brunswick Co.... new team this year. There playing some games at colleges and getting some one on one exposure with scouts. They lost a few but there still loaded. Going to the world series fueled the fire. long live legion ball.:trophy::trophy:

    Had 10 teams in Area II this year. Whiteville defeated Brunswick last night 5-4 and Whiteville will play Wilmington next. From what I've hear and been told, it should be a Hope Mills/Wilmington show down for the Area II championship. Don't count out Whiteville thought because they are very scrappy and if you let them hang around they will find a way to win. Most of Whiteville is made up of their 1A state championship team so you know those kids know how to win big games.

    Whiteville and Wilmington tied 1-1 in series final. Hope Mills is up 2-0 over Morehead City in other final.
